The foundations of the Academy were laid in 2007 with the objective of imparting marine training to aspirants and make them to achieve an overall improvement of the quality of seafarers. Siroi Maritime Academy of Merchant Navy (S.M.A.M.N) owns an academic team headed by a Second Officer with vast experience, both at Sea and in Teaching. The faculty members too possess the required qualification and experience to deliver the goods. S.M.A sets high standards in their teaching methodology where the word 'compromise' on quality training is not traceable in its dictionary. "Satisfaction is the key role in grooming the young cadets as a professional marine officer" and such is the motto of S.M.A. M.N. is committed to produce the best cadets in quick time thus enabling them to meet the growing challenges of the shipping and maritime industry at international level.
