Kendriya Vidyalaya Ranikhet, situated in the Sylvan setting of Kumaon hills is a premier educational institution of the region. The vidyalaya was established way back in 1964 by merging the Kumaon Regimental School.
The vidyalaya aims at imparting holistic education to children with stress on all round personality development based on the rich spiritual and cultural heritage of our country. It lays stress on innovative and experimental teaching promoting national integration.
Kendriya Vidyalayas Ranikhet is a three section Vidyalayas from pre-primary to +2level. There are two streams at +2level, Science and Commerce. Vidyalaya has 01-Pre-Primary, 03-Class 1 to Class X and 02-Class XI & Class XII sections. 15 acres of land of the Vidyalayas is shaped in 06 blocks with 152 rooms. K.V. Ranikhet has very good accommodation facilities for its staff. At present the Vidyalayas has 43 quarters of different types. The present staff strength is 57 with 1424 students enrolled. The vidyalaya is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education following NCERT syllabi and curriculum.
