Almora- the district has many museums and temples in and around the main area. Temples like Kasar Devi, Nanda devi and Jageshwar Dham are popular ones. Some of the prominent scenic spots are the zero point and bright end corner.

Bageshwar- The beautiful place where a perfect combination of temples like Bagnath and Chandrika temple, trekking regions and scenic spots like Bigul, Kanda and Vijaypur attracts a lot of tourists for almost a whole year.

Chamoli- It is an abode to many religious and scenic places. Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Saheb, Uma devi temple, Gopinath temple, Rudranath temple and Kalpeshwar temple are situated here. All the glaciers are the excellent scenic place.

Champawat- The small place is famous for the large variety of temples situated at the foothills. These have a lot of folklore behind their construction. Baleshwar temple, Kranteshwar temple, and Banasur ka Kila are the famous tourist spots in Champawat.

Dehradun- The city being the capital engages in major part of tourism and jobs in Uttarakhand. It has many renowned educational institutes as well as a large number of tourist spots as well. FRI, IMA, Robber’s cave, Tapkeshwar temple, Dehradun Zoo, Daat Kali, Santala Devi and many more spots are the pride of Dehradun.

Haridwar- As the name suggests it is the Hari-ka-dwar, gateway to the lord. The place has multiple religious spots. Mansa Devi, Chandi Devi and Ma Anandmayee Ashram to name some.

Nainital- A beautiful district with multiple scenic tourist spots, Nainital lake, gurney house, tiffin top, and Jim Corbett are the names which every traveller has in his listings!

Pauri Garhwal- The main region housing the Garhwalis of the state has also been an abode to few religious as well as picturesque spots. Kandoliya temple and Danda Nagraja are the ones popular enough to attract tourist round the year.

Pithoragarh- Nakuleshwar temple, Pithoragarh fort, Dhwaj temple and Thal Kedar are few of the many tourist spots of this district. All the places have an interesting folk tale wrapping its history, which localities narrate with great interest.

Rudraprayag- Chopta, Augustmuni, Kalimath and Guptakashi are the renowned tourist spots. There are many places in the district, which allow people to have a peaceful escape from the chaos of the metro cities.

Tehri Garhwal- The district is divided into the new and the old Tehri. It is believed even though both the Garhwal is divided by just a water body, but still there is a huge difference between cultures. Tehri dam and Surkand Devi are the two popular spots here.

Udham Singh Nagar- The newly added district of the state. This place like others in the state also shares the religious tenacity and houses few temples here and there throughout the district. The faith of the people here is immovable and they believe in the custom and tradition they have been followed since ages, especially associated with the temples & shrines.

Uttarkashi- Other than being the place which gave India the Nehru Mountaineering Insitute. The district has Nachiketa lake and Dodital Lake. There are few ancient temples as well. The place sees a lot of International tourists throughout the year.
