Deoriatal Lake has captivating surroundings with forest all around. The mighty Chaukhamba Peak & Neelkanth peaks are reflected in the pristine waters of this lake.

Chandrashila Trek is one of the popular treks, that can be undertaken round the year, in Garhwal Himalayas except during snowbound months of December & January. Chandrasila summit is a rock face above and beyond the temple of Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in India. It is a short but rigorous hike beyond the temple. The Chandrasila summit affords the most beautiful view of the Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar Peak and Chaukhamba peaks, and also a 360 degree view of some of the most  astounding views from anywhere in the Garhwal Himalayas. This area is one of the most beautiful and picturesque spots in the whole Garhwal region, and owing to its isolated location- one of the yet unspoiled spots in the region. The breathtaking view of the Himalayas is treat for the eyes as well as soul. This spot is ideal for painters , and artists to draw inspiration from, and a perfect spot for meditation!
Chopta is situated on the Gopeshwar - Ukhimath road at a distance of about 40 Kms. from Gopeshwar , located at an altitude of 2900.
Detail Itinerary (07 Night - 08 Days)

Day 01 : Arrive- Delhi,
On arrival at Delhi airport  meet our representative and transfer to pre booked hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 02 : Delhi - Haridwar - Ukhimath (200 kms/7-8 hrs)
In the morning board an AC train for Haridwar at 06:55 hrs. Arrival at Haridwar by 11:25 hrs and then transfer to Ukhimath via Rishikesh, Devprayag (Confluence of Alaknanda & Bhagirathi, (the river is named "Ganges" after the Devprayag confluence). Arrival at Ukhimath by evening. Check into TRH. Dinner and overnight stay.
Ukhimath (1370 mts/4500 ft) is on the far side of the Mandakini River Valley and is the winter seat of the Kedarnath shrine, as well as the winter home of the priest who presides over the Kedarnath Temple. After the Kedarnath temple closes for the winters, a movable image of Lord Kedarnath is brought in a special procession to Ukhimath, where it resides until the Kedarnath temple reopens in late April or early May, and is visited by tens of thousands every season. The temples of Usha and Anirudh, & Shiva and Parvati are worth a visit.

Day 03 : Ukhimath - Deoriatal (2438 mts/7998 ft)
In the morning one can see snow clapped Himalayan ranges. After breakfast start a trek to Deoriatal , a steep but short climb through dense forest of Rhodendron and lots of wild flowers and ferns. The trek will take 3- 4 hrs to reach Deoriatal. Upon arrival at Deoriatal set out the tents for overnight stay near the lake. This little mountain lake is positioned in such a way that one can see the reflection of the majestic Chaukhamba peak reflected in the tranquil waters. The changing colours of this mountain assume different shades throughout the morning and at sunset- presenting a photographer with a dazzling array of fine shots! The flat grassy surface and the the tranquility makes this spot ideal for meditation and relaxation! Overnight in tents.

Day 04 : Deoriatal - Sari - Chopta
In the morning descend down to Sari village (3 kms) on foot, thereafter, drive to Chopta through dense forest and meadows. The 30 kms drive from Sari Village to Chopta takes no more than 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Chopta set out your tents for overnight stay. In the evening explore the magnificent view of the Himalayas. The surroundings of the Chopta grasslands are untouched and the nearby forests are ideal for little excursions, and relaxation! Overnight in tents.

Day 05 : Chopta - Tungnath (3680 ft/12070 ft) - Chandrasila (4090 mts/13415 ft) - Chopta
After an early breakfast trek to Tungnath with packed lunch. Tungnath is situated at the height of 3680 mts from the sea level and is the highest Shiva temple in India. The trek is in excess of three kms. Enroute one passes amidst lush green meadows and one can see the entire range of snow capped Himalayas. Upon arrival at Tungnath Temple and visit the temple. After relaxation and lunch, a further ascent of one kms terminates at the Chandrasila peak. The view of not only the snow clad mountains, but also of all the green valleys and deep gorges visible from the mountain top are sights that one will remember for a lifetime; for some say - there is no other place quite like this location in the entire region. Retrace your foot steps back to Chopta for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 06 : Chopta
Spend the day at leisure. The day is spent exploring the beautiful surroundings of this oft referred "Switzerland of Garhwal Himalayas" area. If lucky, catch a rare glimpse of the brown fox, the Kakar and musk deer deer Overnight stay at tent.

Day 07 : Chopta - Haridwar - Delhi
After an early breakfast drive to Haridwar. Upon arrival at Haridwar transfer to railway station to catch Dehradun Shatabdi express train for Delhi at 18:05 hrs. Arrival at Delhi by 22:45 hrs and then transfer to airport to catch onwards flight.

Day 08 : Delhi Departure
Transfer to airport according to your flight schedule.
