| Reply 1 : An army jawan posted at the Indian Military Academy committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon early on Monday morning while he was on duty at a cadets' hostel.
Sources alleged that the soldier may have committed suicide because of acute work pressure.
The soldier has been identified as Chandbir, a resident of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. He was part of the Dogra regiment and was on duty at the Bhagat Battalion dormitory in the academy when he committed suicide.
He was rushed to the military hospital in Dehradun where he succumbed to his injuries. |
