MIET Kumaon has been established by the Devbhumi Foundation, a trust incorporated for the sole purpose of furthering higher education in Uttarakhand.
The trustees of Devbhumi Foundation are well known for their philanthropic efforts in the fields of primary education, higher education and medicine. Over the past three decades, they have set up several Engineering Colleges, schools of Pharmacy, Business Schools,
CBSE-affiliated schools and hospitals in the states of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology, Noida Institute of Engineering & Technology, Meerut Institute of Technology and MIET CCS Campus are institutions managed by the trustees via their other trusts and socities. MIET Kumaon continues to receive guidance and support from these great institutions.
