The Dehradun ISBT is located in Majra, Dehradun. It is managed by the Remki Company. The Inter state bus terminal is just at the beginning of Dehradun entrance. The route that enters from Delhi, crossing the dense forests, NH 72A. The ISBT is new comparatively, it was earlier located near Prince Chowk.

You can reach ISBT from two directions, one is if you are coming to Dehradun via Haridwar through NH58, then you have to cross through Rispana pull and turn towards ISBT which is on the left side of the Rispana pull and is at the distance of 4kms. The other route entering ISBT is from Delhi, then on lane if you go straight, you will get into the main city, through Shimla Bypass Chowk to Saharnpur Chowk which is called Saharnpur road while on right is the ISBT.

When you enter into the ISBT, the buses are set and stands according to the numbers, firstly the normal buses going to Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida are there, then the ones deluxe, semi deluxe, AC and Volvo buses to Delhi and such routes. The other buses stand just beside it. Majorly five bus services are available here the Uttarakhand State Road Transport Corporation, Uttar Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, Punjab Road Transport Corporation and Rajasthan Road transport corporation. They are all Government run buses, the deluxe, semi deluxe, AC and Volvo have fixed rates and timings according to which they run, you can find the timings and details on their respective websites. Some of the Government bodies give away the responsibilities of maintenance of private tourist agencies.

There are private buses as well, stranded near them, the charges vary from destination to destination. Just beside the ISBT is the City Junction Mall, there is a cinema hall in the mall named Carnival Cinemas. Big Bazar also have a retail outlet there. Some of the famous apparel brands Numero uno etc. You can easily spend your waiting hours here.

There is a parking space, which you can use in case you want to leave your vehicles for short trip etc. They take charges according to per hour. Just opposite the entrance of the bus terminal there are many food outlets which remain open during wee hours too. The food is great and would satiate your hunger as well. Opposite the main entrance of ISBT you, there are local buses stranded, which may take you to nearby spots, especially Haridwar, Roorkee etc. Near the entrance buses for Saharnpur, Meerut is stalled.

Near that is the police station, ISBT.

Inside the bus stand, there are food outlets, first one even has a seating arrangement in case you want to sit and enjoy. Rest there are two book stalls, even one barber shop inside the bus stand. (Makes me wonder, why is it there after all!!!!). Just by the end of the bus stand you will find counters for various destinations for all your queries etc.

Simple seating arrangement below low ceiling fans keep you cool even in summers.

Near ISBT some of the popular food outlets are there named Jhat Pat and Dana Pani. Ahead of that towards turner roads are two ATMs one of PNB and other of SBI. Further ahead there are ATMs of Axis Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce.

A famous sweet shop named Rajkumar Sweet shop is also there. Some of the famous hotels near ISBT is the Hotel Lord’s and Raghukul guest house for various strata of the society.

From ISBT, Clock Tower (ISBT) is just approximately 7kms, you can board a Vikram just as you are opposite side of the bus stand. All the autos or other public vehicles you will get from that side only. You can also get auto for Dharampur, Rispana and Nehru Colony from the opposite side of the entrance of ISBT. Vikrams for Rajpur road, Station, Chakrata Road etc, you can get from the opposite side of the bus stand.
