Beena Pandey UCost Dehradun answered a RTI last week that they do not check the originality of the research papers presented in science and technology congress organised by them every year. UCOST is the organisation of the department of science and technology, government of uttarakhand, but science is not applied there. They just collect the abstracts, publish in soveniere and give young scientist awards by not checking the originality and authenticity of the research papers. The papers/abstracts should be pre-reviewed by the experts before publishing to check fake/copy-pasting of research.
